Welcome!

Whether you'll be coming in from Wapiti or West Allis, Chicago or Charlotte, a town in Lewis County or an Adams County country road (or any other spot across the US - you get the picture!), we could not be more excited to share our wedding weekend with you in Miranda's hometown.

This website outlines all the information and logistics you'll need for the weekend. As you'll notice in the details below, all of the events (rehearsal dinner bbq, ceremony and reception) are adults-only celebrations due to the number of guests attending and capacity constraints at some of our venues. We can provide assistance in lining up childcare services if needed - don't hesitate to let us know!

If you have any additional questions or need anything at all, please reach out to John or Miranda directly.

We absolutely cannot wait to celebrate with you!

'I DO' BBQ

To kick off the weekend, we'd like to invite all out of town guests and those in the Quincy area to join us at our Rehearsal Dinner BBQ.

The 'I Do' BBQ will be a hog roast (a Schreiner family tradition!) hosted at the home of the bride's father and stepmother. We hope you can join us for a casual evening of delicious BBQ (complete with all the sides/fixins), great company and a cold drink or two. See location details below:

Getting Here

Quincy, also known as the "Gem City" of Illinois, sits right on the Mississippi River in the western part of the state. While John would like to encourage (and already has tried with a few of you!) our more adventurous guests to explore steamboat or barge options along the river, we would recommend getting here via....

Plane, Train and/or Automobile...

DRIVING HERE

For those driving in from Chicago, Quincy is around 315 miles away (a little under 5 hours of drive time depending on Chicago traffic).

For Milwaukee-based guests, the drive to Quincy is approximately 355 miles (a little over 5 1/2 hours).

Click here to see Quincy's location via Google Maps.

Both the Holiday Inn and Town & Country hotels provide free parking for guests.

RIDING HERE

Guests arriving by train can take the Amtrak into the Quincy station (QCY), which is about a 4 hour 30 minute ride from Chicago Union Station (CHI). To see more details on train routes and times, please click here to visit Amtrak's site.

For those needing taxi service from the train station, please call Diamond Cab & Taxi at 217-222-6700 (Note, this very small cab company does not always run 24/7, so please call in advance to ensure pick up time and confirmation).

FLYING HERE

Guests arriving by air can fly into the Quincy Regional Airport (UIN), Springfield's Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport (SPI), or St. Louis' Lambert International Airport (STL).

If renting a car from Springfield or St. Louis airports, drive time to Quincy is approximately 1 hour 45 minutes (from Springfield), and around 2 hours 15 minutes from St. Louis.
